Emergency Action Plan (EAP)

Every facility should develop and implement an emergency plan for protecting employees, visitors, contractors and anyone else in the facility. EAP is a written document which includes the actions to be taken by all occupants in the event of a fire and other emergencies (natural disaster, security threat, etc.) and the arrangements for calling the firefighters.

It also involves in “protective actions for life safety” and includes building evacuation “Fire drills”. In certain cases, the client should nominate persons to implement the emergency action plan through adequate training in firefighting and evacuation procedures.
